About Academic Regulations, Quality and Standards

The College has a responsibility to manage the quality of its programmes and awards. The Academic Regulations, Quality and Standards team, on behalf of the College, manages quality assurance matters both in respect of College procedures and in liaison with external bodies such as the Office for Students and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). This includes externally directed activities such as support for the QAA Quality & Standards Review, as well as College activities such as programme approval and review.

College regulatory committee structure

The Academic Board and its sub-structure (including the College Education Committee) and many of their Forums and subcommittees are responsible for a broad range of regulations, policies, procedures and strategic documents.

Faculties regulatory structure

There are core governance functions for Faculties in the broad area of teaching and learning. Faculties operationalise these through their committee structures, some of which are based on the College's governance structure.
