Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)
What is the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)?
The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2019 will launch on Monday, 18th March and will run until Wednesday, 17th May 23:59 GMT.
You will receive an email to your university inbox with a unique link inviting you to complete the survey.
The PRES runs every two years, and gives you an opportunity to share your experience of completing a research degree at King’s. This is a national survey and the results are reviewed by the Senior Executive Team (SET), College Education Committee and the Postgraduate Research Student Sub-committee. The PRES also helps to enable the university to gather information about the experience of all research students currently on a doctoral or research master’s course.
Postgraduate Research Students are asked to rate their overall satisfaction with the quality of their course, how well elements of it have met their expectations, and their satisfaction within the following themes: Supervision, Skills Development, Infrastructure, Intellectual Climate, Goals and Standards, Thesis Examination, Professional Development & Career, Roles & Responsibilities and Teaching Opportunities.
When is the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES)?
The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2019 will run from Monday 18th March to Wednesday 17th May 2019.
How can students enter PRES?
All postgraduate research students will receive an email from email@example.com asking them to complete the survey.
What if students don't want to take part?
We strongly encourage students to fill it in as soon as possible because their experience is very important to us. However, it is not compulsory. Students are able to opt out and can let the university know at any point if they don't want to take part, either by responding to an invitation email or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
PRES Charity Donation
We value the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey and we want to hear from as many of our PGR students as possible. We will donate £1 for every response we receive to a charity chosen by the Postgraduate Research community.
