Sustainability Week

Sustainability Month 2022

King’s Sustainability Month is taking place again in February 2022. This month is a collaboration between King’s and KCLSU that offers all those involved an opportunity to learn more about sustainability topics, collaborate and connect with others from across King’s and #TakeAction on the climate crisis. The month will see exciting events organised by people from across the King’s community focused on one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

London Student Sustainability Conference

24 February - Online

The London Student Sustainability Conference welcomes students, staff, professionals and members of the public to find out more about the work which is inspiring positive impacts in the world. The conference is entirely student-led; with students exhibiting their research and projects through presentations, posters and demonstrations. This year, King’s, Imperial, UCL, LSE, Westminster and City are currently participating. Find out more and register here.

Shots for Hope exhibition

2 February to 3 March - The Exchange, Bush House

Visit our Shots for Hope exhibition which features photos submitted by King's students and staff that inspire hope and link to one of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This collaboration between the King’s Sustainability Team, KCLSU Sustainability and Project X aims to use photography as a force for hope, showcasing our community's positive and hopeful messages about sustainability.

Sustainability Month 2021

In 2021, our annual Sustainability Week became Sustainability Month!

Sustainability Month aimed to bring students and staff together to collaborate, share knowledge, and equip our King's Community with the tools to #TakeAction to help build a more progressive and positive future together, at King’s and beyond.

  • 26 Feb, 5:30-6:30pm - Sweet & Sustainable: Fairtrade vegan gluten-free chocolate brownie baking class with King’s Food

Sustainability Week 2020

Sustainability Week 2020 took place from the 10th to the 14th February 2020.

We planned a wide range of activities with others from across King's (including KCLSU, Sustainability Champions, King's Think Tank, The Ellen MacArthur Foundation to the King's Beauty Society. Events included: 

  • Tree-art workshop 
  • The Lost Girl: workshop with the Founder of Climate Museum
  • Charity Fashion Show 
  • Circular Economy workshop with The Ellen MacArthur Foundation

Sustainability Week [2019]

How can you make the world a better place? Our annual Sustainability Week aims to empower you to make small changes with a big impact.

Sustainability Week 2019 took place from the 11th to the 15th February 2019. We planned a range of activities, including zero waste beauty workshops, wellbeing sessions and biodiversity walks.

Sustainability Week [2018]

Sustainability Week 2018 took place from the 12th to the 16th February across campuses.

The Sustainability Team planned a range of events throughout the week, centred on helping the King’s community to make a difference. Events include bike maintenance sessions, conservation volunteering, guided walks and film screenings.
