Worldwide Partnerships

Dr Narro and Ed ByrneKing’s has over 300 partnership agreements with leading, like-minded institutions across the globe. By partnering with the best universities we can pool expertise to create impactful research, tap into specific knowledge from a certain field of study or geographic region, and create opportunities for our students to get invaluable experience living and studying a new environment as part of their degree.

The majority of our partnerships are managed at faculty or departmental level, in order for the activity between the two institutions to be as beneficial as possible for the academics and students involved.

King's also has a small number of university-wide partnerships with institutions whose wider goals and acitvity are closely aligned with ours at a number of levels. These institutions are among the best in their regions, and create opportunities for a large range of joint activities across different faculties.

The types of partnership vary depending on the needs of students and academics from both institutions but can include:

Global Health partnerships have enabled us to tackle Ebola, cancer, HIV and mental health. Joint research activity with partners in Arts & Humanities is helping us to discover more about the politics and economics of today's and yesterday's worlds while also helping us look to the future through collaborations in 5G technology and in the next generaion of space travel and exploration.

Thanks to exchange agreements, King’s students can spend a summer, a semester or a year at similarly prestigious universities in all five continents and students on joint programmes in Law, Nursing and a number of other studies can split their degree between London and world-class cities like Paris, New York and Hong Kong.
