King’s Volunteering and King’s Sport & Wellness are teaming up for a special edition of our Connecting with Charities series focused on sport, physical activity and wellbeing.
Join us for Connecting with Charities 2025: Sports & Wellness, a drop-in event where you can connect with organisations using movement to transform lives, improving mental health, physical wellbeing, confidence and social connection.
Whether you are passionate about fitness, health advocacy, youth sport or helping others stay active, this is your chance to discover how you can make a positive impact through volunteering.
Come along any time between 12:15 and 14:45 to explore opportunities and causes that matter to you.

We will be joined by charity partners who deliver impactful work across sport, movement and wellbeing, supporting people of all ages to live healthier, happier lives.

London Youth Games: uses the power of sport and physical activity to provide life‑changing opportunities to over 10,000 young people in London every year.
Why their work matters: They empower young people from diverse backgrounds by providing a platform for participation, competition and personal development, fostering inclusivity, teamwork and healthy lifestyles.
What they look for in volunteers: Enthusiastic individuals ready to support youth sport, promote inclusion and help deliver outstanding events for young Londoners.

provides free games and activity sessions with tailored support for children with additional needs and disabilities. They support over 100 children, known as their ‘athletes’, with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and global developmental delay.
Why their work matters: KEEN London uses fun and games to improve young people's wellbeing, personal, social, and emotional development, while broadening experiences to increase skills and confidence.
What they look for in volunteers: Energetic, enthusiastic people with a willingness to learn and support children with additional needs.

DFY Sports works with children from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds by providing mentoring, coaching, and education through sport and values-based activities.
Why their work matters: DFY helps young people realise their potential by building confidence, teamwork skills, communication, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
What they look for in volunteers: Energetic, committed individuals eager to use sport and mentorship to empower young people.

Solidarity Sports supports children in West London who have experienced trauma, using play, creativity, healthy eating, and mentoring to build confidence, joy, and belonging. From after-school clubs to arts, sports, and holiday trips, they create safe, loving spaces where children can heal and thrive.
Why their work matters: Many children supported by Solidarity Sports are referred by social services and face difficult home environments. Their work offers stability, care, and positive experiences that help build resilience, wellbeing, and happy childhood memories.
What they look for in volunteers: People with energy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting children — ready to create safe, fun, and uplifting moments where every child feels seen and valued.
