Biography

Anna Joynson is the Engagement Manager (King's Volunteering) within the Service Team at King's College London. 

Anna joined King’s in July 2023 as the Volunteering Engagement Officer to grow the service by embedding volunteering across King’s, engaging both staff and students and celebrating King’s Volunteering’s collective social impact.

Anna has spent the past 5 years within the Higher Education and charity sector. Prior to joining King’s, Anna led on the development of a national befriending project for people living with rare neurological conditions. She began her career in the volunteering team at Sheffield Students’ Union where her role as Volunteer Coordinator involved the management of multiple projects and initiatives that supported a wide range of beneficiaries including children and young people, adults with learning disabilities, refugees and asylum seekers and older people. Anna’s time at Sheffield SU also involved developing effective and inclusive student communications to engage a wide range of the student population.

Throughout her career, Anna has been motivated by achieving both volunteer development and meaningful community impact through her work and continues to implement this throughout her time at King’s Volunteering.
