Crafting Connections is a relaxed, drop-in card-making workshop for King’s staff, offering a chance to pause, get creative, and make something meaningful for others. Delivered in partnership with King’s Volunteering, this session supports our charity partner Art Explora, whose work focuses on building connection through arts and culture.
During the workshop, participants are invited to create handmade cards that will be gifted to older people living in care homes across London, helping to brighten their day and foster a sense of connection. No artistic experience is required, and all materials will be provided, though you are very welcome to bring your own supplies if you would like to add a personal touch.
The session is designed to be flexible and low-pressure. Staff are welcome to drop in for around 30 minutes per card, or stay for the full two-hour session, depending on availability and interest.
This event qualifies as a volunteering activity, meaning staff can use their pre-allocated 21 hours of Service Time to take part. Service Time can be booked through PeopleXD in the same way as annual leave.
By participating, staff are also eligible for King’s Volunteering’s rewards and recognition scheme, including the opportunity to earn digital credentials.
