Want to get to know King's campuses? Want to increase your active travelling? Unsure about cycling in the city?
Cycling is a great way to get active and to get around London. However, it can be daunting to cycle in London with lots of other traffic on the roads.
Join this guided cycle tour around King’s campuses led by King’s Sport & Wellness, King’s Climate & Sustainability and Cycle Confident. Bikes (including e-bikes) will be provided FREE of charge by Swapfiets for the afternoon and you’ll learn the rules of the road and tips for staying safe whilst cycling. This year we will be offering an additional cycle training course for anybody who is not yet confident enough to get straight onto the road.
King’s Campus Bike Tour 14:00 – 16:00
13:45 - Meet at Christ Church Yard, Commercial St, London E1 6LY for a quick brief before we head over to the shop to pick your bike. Part of the group will finish at Strand to handover the bikes to the training participants, the rest will finish the tour at the Swapfiets shop.
Cycle Confident training 16:00 – 18:30
Meet by the gate of St Mary Le Strand Church (WC2R 1ES), where you will be joined by professional cycling instructors from Cycle Confident.
