“Through Estranged Eyes: Across Inner Dreams and Outer Worlds” is the creative outcome of the educational programme of King’s Department of Digital Humanities. Designed to bridge the gaps between VR design and immersive curation, the programme brings postgraduate students together to collaborate across courses and disciplines. The exhibit presents nineteen VR experiences created in Unity and displayed as interactive applications and walkthrough videos. In response to theatrical and literary notions of estrangement, both creators and curators join forces to rethink the boundaries of their spatial imagination as well as that of mainstream metaverse aesthetics.

Dr Gabriele Salciute Civiliene, Senior Lecturer in Digital Humanities, DDH, King’s College London
