“This recognition highlights the value of investing in online representational spaces that truly support hybrid learning, with a strong emphasis on formative assessment. Collabits is already transforming the way educators teach, and I hope it inspires more colleagues at King’s to explore its potential in their own practice.”

Dr Arthur Galamba wins award at largest education technology event in Latin America
Dr Arthur Galamba has won the Early Stage Bett EdTech Award with his platform ‘Collabits’.

The award was presented to Dr Galamba at the Bett Brasil event which took place in São Paolo from 28 April to 1 May.
The platform was established by Dr Galamba and his co-founders Pedro Saunders and Andrew Burnes in 2020 with an aim to move from teacher-centred to student-centred learning. The software encourages interaction between students, teachres and content, allowing students to add and manage content to the teaching canvas, what they call the ‘bitboard’.
Dr Galamba commented on the achievement saying: “Winning this highly competitive award at BETT is a deeply meaningful moment. It marks the culmination of years of hard work and determination. I’m incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my co-founders, from Liviu Matei at the School of Education Communication and Society, and King’s Entrepreneurship Institute — this achievement would not have been possible without them.”
Bett Brasil is the largest education and technology event in Latin America, bringing together 270+ national and international companies, 30 edtech start-ups and 46,000+ participants annually.
