King's academic elected to Academia Europaea, the Academy of Europe

Professor Liviu Matei, Head of the School of Education, Communication & Society, has been elected to Academia Europaea.

Professor Liviu Matei, Head of the School of Education, Communication & Society, has been elected to Academia Europaea.

Professor of Higher Education and Public Policy Dr Liviu Matei, who recently joined the School of Education, Communication & Society as head of school, has been elected to join the Academia Europaea, the Academy of Pan-European Academy of Sciences Humanities and Letters.

The Academia Europaea was established in 1988 at the initiative of the UK Department of Education and Science. Members are leading experts from the humanities, law, the economic, social, and political sciences, mathematics, medicine, and all branches of natural and technological sciences.

Professor Matei has been elected to the section ‘Governance, Institutions and Policies: Education, Health and Welfare’. There are currently nine other members of this section from UK institutions.
