The Reggie the Lion student Experience award is awarded to a team or individual who has improved the student experience and actively addressed student concerns through specific intervention.

King’s Sport seeks to deliver world-class services and experiences to students through dynamic innovation and the application of insight. Students are at the heart of providing the best evidence to optimise the delivery of King’s Sport programmes. From building a gym on the strand campus, to the delivery of the BeActive programme. Demographic and engagement data is analysed alongside feedback, net promoter scores to offer outstanding experiences in sport and physical activity.

With a continuing demand on university services, such as counselling, King’s Sport moved to introduce the ‘Active Wellness Scheme,’ a free initiative supporting students with low mental and physical wellbeing through the use of exercise therapy, and the ‘Move Your Mind’ campaign which provided opportunities to stay active in order to support positive mental wellbeing.

Students who have completed the Active Wellness Scheme has reported on average in 16% increase in their wellbeing on the Edinburgh-Warwick scale. Over 400 students participated in the Move Your Mind campaign.
