This afternoon, Kritika Samsi and Jill Manthorpe presented at the DHSC Evaluation Network the findings of their recent evaluation of the Social Care Workforce Race Equality Standard at its mid-point in the early adoption by a group of 18 local authorities. This was the first occasion that a social care study had been presented at the Network and the participants (numbering around 45) from across government ministries were interested in both the subject under discussion and wider debates about theories underpinning implementation.

The evaluation forms part of the core work of the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Health and Social Care Workforce at King's.
