Attendance

All students are expected to attend lectures, tutorials and practicals.

Attendance may be monitored and attendance records kept. Students do not need to inform lecturers or tutors of each and every absence, but must inform the lecturer and their personal tutor if they are systematically missing the lectures for whatever reason (timetable clash, illness, etc.).  Students are expected to make sure that they catch up on any missed material.

We can only guarantee that students are properly prepared for our examinations if they attend all the lectures, and students cannot expect lecturers to provide one-to-one tuition or extra materials for any missed lectures.

You may be sent warnings if your attendance at any module is unsatisfactory and your personal tutor may be notified.  Regular attendance is essential if you are to keep abreast of the material being taught. Absence is permitted under certain circumstances (such as illness) but students are generally expected to attend as regularly as possible.
