About Your Handbooks

The CANES handbook is part of a three-tier system that will provide you with core information to aid you with your studies, highlight what King’s has to offer and show you what is expected of you. It is your responsibility to read and be familiar with the information in all three tiers:

1. The College Handbook

Provides you with an overview of King's and highlights essential information at College level - signposting you to more detailed information and related support services.

2. Department Handbooks

Gives you detailed information at the department level, including information about policies, guidelines and learning resources available to students

3. The CANES Handbook

Provides in-depth information for all students studying in CANES.

Rules and regulations

Please note: the rules and regulations outlined in the CANES Handbook exist in addition to College regulations. No information given in the CANES Handbook overrides any regulation set by the College or stated in the Faculty Handbook.
