Biography

Abdulahad Bayraktar is a Molecular Biology and Genetics graduate from the Middle East Technical University where he received his MSc degree in Bioinformatics.

He also worked on several research projects as a bioinformatician in the medical research centre at Istanbul Medipol University. Here he contributed to implementing a variant discovery pipeline for rare disease diagnosis and analyses of microbiome and metagenome data from Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and obesity studies.

In the Mardinoglu lab, he works on the discovery of novel drug targets for effective treatment of Alzheimer's disease. His research employs an integrative multi-omics approach assisted with machine learning .
