Biography
I am working in the Parsons Group as a postdoctoral research associate since December 2022. My research explores how biomechanics of head and neck cancer cells impact responses to genotoxic stress and tumour-immune interactions. In particular, my research is focused on the impact of tumour stiffness on the release of secretory cues, such as small extracellular vesicles, that may facilitate immunomodulation and/or chemoresistance.
Prior to working in the Parsons group, I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge, Department of Surgery. My PhD research focused on the development and validation of a novel preclinical model of pancreatic cancer, for the modelling of individual tumour-immune interactions and responses to immunotherapies.
