Cen is a final year PhD student at King’s College London. Her research analyses early modern history plays depicting pre-Conquest British history, in which successive invasions of the British Isles are dramatised. Taking a non-conventional postcolonial approach, her thesis unpacks how England, as an ex-colony, maps an empire of its own by both absorbing and resisting its postcolonial legacy.
