Dr Claudia Chisari PhD, CPsychol

Biography

Claudia is an Honorary Research Associate at King's College London with a specialist interest in Vulvodynia, and other forms of Pelvic Pain. She is part of the Health Psychology Group, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN).

Her research interests focus on developing evidence-based interventions and treatments in Vulvodynia and other types of persistent pelvic pain (Endometriosis, Vaginismus, Fibroids etc).

Claudia completed her MSc and PhD in Vulvodynia at KCL, funded by the NIHR. Her PhD, supervised by Professors Lance McCracken, Rona Moss-Morris, and Dr Whitney Scott, involved exploring specific psychosocial factors in Vulvodynia and developing and testing the first personalised digital intervention in Vulvodynia.

Her PhD and her research have been awarded by the Embassy in London and have been recognised as “top cited papers”.

Currently, Claudia has Founded Bloume Health, the first digital care clinic for women with Pelvic pain, where she sees women with pelvic pain. https://www.bloumehealth.com/

She continues her research in Vulvodynia and Pelvic Pain at King’s, and supervises students at postgraduate level.
