Biography
I graduated from the University of Brighton with a BSc in Biomedical Science and then undertook a MRes in Translational Cancer Medicine at King's College London. Between 2017 and 2021, I undertook my PhD in the Randall Centre and I was supervised by Prof Maddy Parsons and Prof George Santis. During my PhD, I explored the role of the adhesion molecule Coxsackie and Adenovirus Receptor in regulation of cell-ECM adhesion during lung cancer cell invasion. Since October 2021, I have been working as a post-doctoral research associate on the Wellcome Leap Tissue project to examine features in triple negative breast cancer microenviroment associated with neo-adjuvant chemotherapy resistance using Image Mass Cytometry on FFPE tissues and patient-derived organoids.
