Biography

Damon Cleaver is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Physics, King’s College London.

He is in the Theoretical Particle Physics and Cosmology Group. He completed his MPhys degree at Durham University in 2021 and joined KCL in 2022.

His research focuses on dark matter phenomenology, taking a broad approach working on topics from light dark matter constraints using X-ray telescopes, to ultra-heavy dark matter detection using acoustic arrays in the ocean. Damon likes to develop a good relationship with experimental colleagues both in and outside KCL.

He also has an interest in physics education and outreach, teaching across the undergraduate years and is a tutor in the King’s K+ widening participation programme, in collaboration with the Brilliant Club, who he has also tutored for in both primary and secondary schools.
