Despoina-Sisely Goodman
PhD candidate
Biography
Despoina-Sisely Goodman is currently undertaking her PhD under the supervision of Professor Mark Green in the Department of Physics at King’s College London. Her work is centered around the development of new synthetic routes for the production of semiconductor nanocrystals, more commonly known as quantum dots. Prior to this, Despoina obtained her bachelor’s and integrated master’s degree in chemistry at King’s College London. During her master’s, for her research project, Despoina worked with Dr. Alex Brogan, on chemically engineering enzymes for the development of a one-pot reaction for drop in biofuel production that is both efficient and scalable.
