Dr Lindsay Bearne PhD MSc MCSP

Senior Lecturer

Biography

Lindsay Bearne is a Senior Lecturer in Rehabilitation and Health Services Research at King's. She is a qualified physiotherapist and mixed methods researcher. She is Principal Investigator of projects funded by the National Institute for Health Research and Dunhill Medical Trust that develop and test interventions for people with long-term conditions. In 2020, she was appointed Senior Research Fellow in knowledge mobilisation at the NIHR Centre for Engagement and Dissemination.

Research interests

• Development and evaluation of interventions to help people to manage long term conditions particularly rheumatic, musculoskeletal and vascular conditions

• Integrating psychologically informed treatment into health professional practice

• Knowledge mobilisation and implementation of evidence into practice
