Biography
Ege Erdem is a PhD researcher in the Department of Engineering at King’s College London. His doctoral research explores how flow-matching-based generative models can be used for reconstructing and estimating sound fields in immersive audio environments. His research also spans sound field interpolation and extrapolation methods, scattering delay networks (SDN), and the calibration of spherical microphone arrays.
Ege’s academic background includes a MSc in spatial audio and a BSc in mechanical engineering. He has professional experience as an architectural acoustics consultant and noise control engineer, designing acoustically optimised spaces such as concert halls, underground stations, and corporate offices.
Outside of academia, he enjoys documenting life and storytelling through videography, hosts a podcast, and plays jazz piano.
