Biography
Elisa Alt is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at King’s Business School. As a researcher and educator, her work is focused on enabling individuals to act as entrepreneurial change agents for positive social change. At King’s, she teaches Innovation for Impact in the Executive MBA, as well as Entrepreneurship for the next generation of family business leaders at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
She is particularly interested in understanding individual and organisational approaches to 'social intrapreneurship'—when employees act on social and environmental challenges from inside their organisations using market means, such as products, services, business models and processes. This research helps organisations harness their employees’ entrepreneurial drive to address sustainability challenges and social issues, ultimately driving both positive impact and business innovation.
Elisa’s key areas of expertise are:
- Intrapreneurship
- Social entrepreneurship
- Organisational entrepreneurship
- Corporate change agents
Elisa’s research has been published in leading academic journals such as the Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Venturing, and Journal of Management Studies, among other outlets.
Before obtaining her PhD from the University of Seville in Spain, Elisa worked as a creative in the advertising industry in Brazil.
Dr Alt is currently not accepting new PhD students.
