Biography
Eoin Gogarty is a Researcher and Data Engineer in the Department of Psychosis Studies at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London, where he has worked since mid-2022. Eoin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Trinity College Dublin.
His research sits at the intersection of psychiatric epidemiology, health data science, and health services research, with a particular focus on physical health inequalities in people with severe mental illness (SMI). He has worked extensively with large-scale linked NHS datasets — including CRIS and Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) — applying statistical and computational methods to questions about cardiovascular care pathways, mental health service delivery, and economic evaluation of healthcare interventions.
