Holly is a registered nurse and midwife, currently working as a Clinical Research Midwife within the preterm birth team. Her research interests include hypertension and pre-eclampsia, and preterm birth.

GUARD is a Clinical Trial that wants to explore the impact of Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) compared to metformin in the treatment of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM).
GUARD MEC Study
In this study we want to find out a bit more about how some medicines affect the gut microbiome in women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).

The Maternal and Perinatal Systems and Policy (MAPS) Research Group assumes a life-course approach which is engaged with basic and clinical science research that has the potential to improve health care quality and outcomes from bench to population health, through policy relevant world class evidence synthesis, implementation and service delivery research.
