Biography

Jiayu Lu is a PhD student with a research focus on environmental policy and innovation economics. Building on her double master’s training from UCL and the University of Edinburgh, her research investigates the drivers of green technology innovation and the effects of environmental policies, with a specific focus on low-carbon transitions.

Her recent work employs mixed methods including interviews, micro-level behavioural experiments, and macro-level econometric models (e.g., DID). Jiayu combines her background in business economics with advanced data analysis skills (STATA) to explore how policy interventions can effectively induce green technological progress.
