Biography

Meng's research interests lie in Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL), with a particular focus on leveraging emerging technologies (e.g. AI, AR, VR) to enhance second language acquisition (SLA). 

Thesis Title: The Potentials of Embodied AI for L2 English Learning

Meng’s PhD thesis explores the impact of student-chatbot interactions on L2 English learning from an interdisciplinary perspective. It aims to unveil the learning processes, students’ perceptions & attitudes towards chatbots, and the relationship between learning processes, language proficiency, and attitudes. Meng welcomes research collaboration in the field of computer-assisted language learning.
