Michael A Witt is Professor of International Business and Strategy at King’s Business School and founding director of the Geopolitics and Enterprise Strategy Hub. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business and holds a PhD and MA from Harvard University and an AB from Stanford University.

His research examines how the institutional and geopolitical environment shapes international business and corporate strategy. His current work focuses on deglobalization, geopolitical fragmentation and decoupling, and differences in how business is organised across countries, with particular attention to their implications for firms and multinational enterprises.

Michael has published five books and numerous articles in journals including Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of International Business Studies, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of World Business, and Management International Review. His honours include a Humboldt Fellowship.

Before joining King’s, Michael was a professor at INSEAD for more than 20 years, where he taught in the MBA, Executive MBA, and executive education programs. He received multiple teaching awards and dean’s commendations for teaching excellence.

Michael has lived and worked in China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
