Biography
As Programme Officer for Sierra Leone and Zambia, Miriam is responsible for supporting KGHP staff and NHS volunteers in the delivery of programme activities.
Born and bred in the Netherlands, she completed her BSc in Global Public Health in the Hague and has recently graduated from the Global Health & Social Justice MSc at King’s College London. Miriam has previously worked on a variety of research projects across Sub-Saharan Africa and has a passion for improving healthcare through building strong relationships in clinical settings.
She previously worked with KGHP whilst writing her Master’s dissertation on the role of interpersonal relationships and communication in the emergency obstetric referral process in Zambia.
