Dr Oliver Sutton
Research Associate
Biography
Oliver Sutton is a Researcher working in the fields of Machine Learning, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. His background is in Numerical Analysis, having received a PhD from the University of Leicester focussed on bespoke numerical methods for partial differential equations. He joined the Department of Mathematics at King’s College London in May 2022.
Research Interests
- Understanding the role and potential of Machine Learning techniques in modern applied mathematics.
- Investigating the stability of Machine Learning methods, such as their susceptibility to adversarial or stealth attacks.
- Developing and analysing numerical algorithms for simulating phenomena observed in Biology and Physics described by systems of partial differential equations.
