Raquel Macedo Moreira

Biography
Raquel is a Research Associate at the Centre of Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at The Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London. She is also a Professor of Practice at Woxsen University in Hyderabad, India, and the co-founder of Núcleo de Debates em Arbitragem (NDArb) and International Arbitration Discussion Group (IADG), private groups focused on in-depth studies and discussions related to the Brazilian and International Arbitration practice, respectively.
As a dual-qualified lawyer admitted to the Brazilian (OAB-SP) and Italian (Milan) Bar, Raquel accounts for several years of experience in the private sector dealing with international commercial and investment arbitration cases. Her practice specializes in International Business Law, following her magna cum laude LL.M. degree obtained at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium), and Construction Disputes, following her Master in Contract, Claim and Delay Management in Construction Works at Politecnico Milano (Italy).
Raquel also takes interest in voluntary projects related to the formation and development of young international arbitration practitioners. In this respect, she currently coaches the King's College London team for the Day of Crisis Competition, she has coached the Bocconi University team for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot for six consecutive years and she also takes part in the Young ICCA Mentoring Programme as Group Advisor.
