700 MHz NMR Spectrometer
A flexible high field system for structural biology, small molecule research and automated workflows
The NMR Facility supports a wide range of small‑molecule and chemical biology applications, providing access to high‑quality solution‑state NMR spectroscopy and expert guidance. We assist users with structural elucidation and confirmation of synthetic compounds, assessment of purity, and analysis of complex mixtures.
Our instrumentation enables reaction monitoring and stability studies, allowing users to follow chemical transformations and degradation processes in real time. We also support NMR‑based ligand‑binding and interaction studies relevant to chemical biology and translational research, including protein–small‑molecule and fragment‑based investigations.
Small‑molecule studies can also benefit from the broadband observe (BBO) probe available on the 700 MHz spectrometer. This probe enables experiments on a wide range of less commonly studied (“exotic”) NMR‑active nuclei, extending analytical capability to inorganic, organometallic and chemically diverse small‑molecule systems beyond standard 1H‑ and 13C‑based experiments.
Where appropriate, small‑molecule studies can be integrated with biomolecular or metabolomics workflows, supporting multidisciplinary projects that span chemistry, biology and medicine.
