The Weston Education and Shepherd's House centres have a wide range of equipment used in clinical skills teachings and simulation, including various part task trainers to facilitate the practice of skills such as suturing, injection technique, cannulation, catheterisation and many more.

Both centres are also equipped with in-situ and portable HD SMOTS cameras, used for live streaming demonstrations and streaming simulation scenarios to other classrooms in the centre.

The department has three full-body patient simulators varying in fidelity, functionality, gender and age. The manikins' vital signs and physiology can be programmed for the needs of different clinical scenarios and teaching sessions such as:

• A to E assessment
• Crash calls
• Simulated birthing scenarios, including shoulder dystocia, breech and PPH, using our hi-fidelity simulator Lucina.

The Weston Education Centre also has the ability to stream live medical cases, carried out in King's College Hospital theatres.

Additionally, the department has facilities to run endoscopic, surgical and dental skills sessions using animal tissue.
