Have your say

At King’s, your voice makes a difference. There are various ways that you can tell us about your experience, and we can respond in return. These include our key surveys throughout the year, co-creation opportunities like the King’s 100 and student partnership opportunities through King’s Academy. Your student representatives also gather feedback on your course experience and share it with King’s staff. KCLSU (King’s College London Student Union) also supports a range of student-led campaigns. Your Student Union Officers are elected each year on manifesto pledges which they aim to deliver in collaboration with the university. These are just the some of the ways that the student voice is channelled at King’s, and they can lead to meaningful change for students.

King's 100

This is a paid opportunity for a diverse mix of 100 students to work alongside university staff as co-creators, shaping policies and projects that improve student life at King’s. Participants contribute their ideas on issues such as curriculum diversity, wellbeing and campus services, while gaining leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. The scheme is designed to amplify student voices and foster collaboration. It offers regular discussion sessions, networking and real impact. This is an ideal way for students to influence change, build confidence and enhance their employability.

Student partnerships

Student-staff partnerships offer a unique opportunity for staff and students to collaborate as equal partners to discuss ideas, find solutions and create new opportunities. Like King’s 100, these are paid opportunities but offer students the chance to work more closely with staff on education-related projects which they are interested in over a longer period. Some outcomes include the recruitment of Student Partners to help improve assessment practice at King’s, as well as the launch of our new Curriculum Change projects which allow students and staff to collaborate on ways to enhance the student learning experience.

Library Champions

Library Champions are an important link between students and Libraries & Collections. Through engaging with the libraries' work, they help bring the views of students across the University into decision-making and ensure their needs are understood in the development of library services, collections and spaces. The programme is open to all students at any time during their studies. You'll receive invitations to a range of activities throughout the year. Library Champions can gain valuable experience to add to their CV, use the scheme to apply for a King’s Experience Award or receive vouchers or pay in return for their time and insight.

King's College London Student Union (KCLSU)

KCLSU gives students a powerful voice at King’s through its representation structures and Union Agenda. From course representatives influencing teaching and assessment, to Liberation and Community Networks advocating for underrepresented groups, students can shape policy via forums, focus groups and campaigns. Elected officers use feedback channels to ensure priorities are heard and acted on. Central to this is the Union Agenda, a student-led plan built around six policy zones, driving improvements in affordability, inclusivity and academic quality. Together, these structures help turn student ideas into real change across King’s.
