Guidance for all Middle East offer holders
Explore events and information to prepare you for studying at King's.
We are aware of the evolving situation in the Middle East and are continuing to monitor it closely. We understand that this may be a worrying and uncertain time for many of you, with disruption to schooling, exams and personal circumstances.
If you are an offer holder at King’s, we want to reassure you that our admissions teams will consider each application carefully and that we will take your individual circumstances into account wherever possible.
If your exams or assessments are affected and results are awarded using alternative methods, such as internally assessed or calculated grades, these will be treated as equivalent to standard results and accepted as meeting your offer conditions where applicable.
We will automatically be applying extra consideration and care to applications from applicants domiciled in affected countries by this conflict, such as (but not limited to) Palestine, the UAE, Iran, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Lebanon.
If you are unsure how your qualification will be assessed, you should contact your school or examination board. You can also contact us if you have questions about your offer conditions, including English language requirements.
If your studies or personal circumstances have been disrupted, you should submit details through our mitigating circumstances process. This allows our admissions teams to take your situation into account when reviewing your application.
We assess applicants against the conditions of their offer using final results. Where mitigating circumstances have been submitted in advance, this may be considered as part of the decision-making process alongside your overall application.
Where applicants narrowly miss their offer conditions, we will aim to apply flexibility and consider individual circumstances. However, this may not always be possible where courses are highly competitive or at capacity.
Applicants are normally expected to meet all academic and English language conditions by 31 August.
If you are appealing or expect delays to receiving your results or appeal outcomes, notify us as soon as possible via King’s Apply.
Where it is not possible to enrol in the current academic year, we may be able to offer a deferral or a place in a future intake (starting September 2027).
If you have questions or need to share updated information, you can contact us via the message portal in King’s Apply or email us at newstudents@kcl.ac.uk. To help us respond more quickly, include “Middle East” in your message subject.
If you have questions about your Student Visa application, our Visa & International Student Advice team is available to support you.
Postgraduate offer holders should follow the same process to request support.
