Travel guidance:
Students travelling for University-organised study activities should contact King’s travel insurers - Assistance from LifeLine Plus, +44 (0) 1273 456 463, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year quoting the policy number 0010016146. (For your protection calls may be recorded or monitored). You will need to provide:
- Your name and contact details
- Your location and planned travel itinerary
- The nature of the issue (e.g. delays, re-route, cancelled flights, lost baggage, safety concerns)
Students planning to travel overseas should check and follow the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) guidance for the country you are travelling to and from.
Support with your studies:
- If you need support or adjustments with your studies, let your personal tutor or department know as soon as you can.
- Where possible, please advise of your anticipated date of return to campus.
- We can’t provide an online alternative for in-person classes.
- For any scheduled assessments, let your personal tutor and module leader know and they will advise on any extensions or deferrals available to you.
- Online students should contact the student success team.
Counselling and emotional support:
- Your Faculty Wellbeing Advisors are available to listen and have an initial supportive conversation with you. Depending on your needs, they can also help you access other support services at King’s or elsewhere.
- You can also access free and confidential wellbeing support services by registering with our Counselling & Mental Health Support Service. As well as in person services, this includes King’s Counselling Online delivered in partnership with Spectrum.Life, which provides out of hours support as well as online counselling Monday - Saturday 08.00 - 22.00.
- You may wish to connect with your fellow students through KCLSU.
- Pastoral support is available through our Chaplaincy, for those of all faiths and none.
