The BSc Marketing programme aims to provide students with a rigorous foundation in marketing theory and practice while fostering the skills and attributes expected of graduates in the discipline. In line with subject benchmark statements, the programme addresses wider social goals by embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion throughout the curriculum, ensuring accessibility for all learners, and integrating education for sustainable development and ethical decision-making into marketing strategies. Enterprise and entrepreneurship are promoted through experiential learning, client-based projects, and opportunities to design innovative solutions for real-world challenges.
Distinctive features include a research-informed curriculum, strong industry engagement through guest speakers and live projects, and flexible progression pathways, including optional modules and a final-year project. Teaching and learning approaches combine lectures, tutorials, and workshops with active, inquiry-based, and problem-based learning to encourage critical thinking and practical application. Assessment strategies are varied, incorporating examinations, coursework, research projects, and presentations to evaluate analytical, practical, and communication skills.

Through the Principles of Marketing module, I came to appreciate the strategic, analytical, and psychological nature of marketing and decision-making. King's gave me the tools to think critically about the world around me, from the products I buy to the content I consume, and that practical skill isn't something just a textbook can teach.
