If you have young children at home when schools and nurseries are closed or have other caring responsibilities, we appreciate that committing to a full day’s work while homeworking can be challenging. We understand and thank you for your best efforts. Our Interim Homeworking Policy (pdf, 159kb, internal) sets out expectations of staff and line managers (which, in the academic and research context, may include Principal Investigators) and support available.
It is important to the university that we have a working environment and culture that supports staff during their parenting and caring planning, leave, and return to work. The aim of the hub is to provide staff and managers with easy-to-find information about the support and benefits available to parents and carers.
