Departments

Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for planning, building, managing and maintaining the websites for the departments
  • To be responsible for the promotion of the relevant departments and their academic programmes
  • To be responsible for managing strategies for the recruitment and retention of students through relevant portals, microsites and other social media.
  • Jointly with the other Programme Administrator, to manage the administration of the suite of programmes and modules offered by the relevant departments
  • To be responsible for managing the local module selection/allocation process
  • To provide comprehensive and authoritative advice for all taught students on relevant programme regulations
  • To provide comprehensive administrative support to the relevant Programme Boards of Examiners, and any another committee meetings
  • To manage the undergraduate and postgraduate taught assessments process for the relevant Departments
  • To be responsible for day-to-day management of relationships with intercollegiate and inter-institutional and international partners
  • To act as Combined Studies co-ordinator for the students in their relevant departments
  • To act as Year Abroad Coordinator where the year abroad is a compulsory element of an undergraduate degree, in liaison with the Study Abroad Office 
  • To collate prize nominations for students in their departments
  • To undertake purchasing and procurement for the departments and the administrative offices as required via KCeP
