Jonathan VickeryBiography
Dr Jonathan Vickery is Associate Professor in the Centre for Cultural Policy Studies, at the University of Warwick (UK). Before entering academia, he worked in a variety of art and design jobs. He has lectured in and published on art and architecture history, design, cultural policy and creative industries. He has been a Henry Moore Post-Doctoral fellow, a lecturer in
contemporary art and founder-director of three international masters degrees. He is the Chair of the non—profit research company, the Art of Management and Organisation, and also Executive Director of a new arts platform, Kalejdoskop East-West (engaging with Eastern European creatives in the UK). He maintains an active interest in creative pegagogies, and each summer directs a new student ‘micro-fest’ of culture for the city of Coventry. His largest project right now is on European Spillovers, with a group that is currently lobbying the European Parliament for a new research agenda for the cultural and creative industries.
