Research Internships

The Department of Physics is a popular choice for students from other universities who wish to undertake an internship at King’s College London. Often such internships last for up to three months and such visitors will work with academic staff on areas of genuine cutting-edge research.

We regret that there is no financial assistance available for internships but we welcome enquires from candidates who have secured their own funding for an internship. You may wish to check http://www.iaeste.org.uk/ which is an organisation linked to the British Council which runs a scheme based on international internships.

If you are interested in taking up an internship here in the Department of Physics you should identify which academics you would like to work with then send an enquiry to Bonnie Parker (Research Officer) by email. You should also provide a CV and a full academic transcript as well as the names of academic referees.

If you are a current KCL Physics student the Department also runs an internship programme poviding funded positions. The application and selection process is different, details can be found here.
