Film Studies Department
Top-rated research excellence
The Film Studies Department is pleased to announce that the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) has recognised its status as a centre for world-class research. 85% of our research activity was rated as world-leading and internationally excellent (4*/3*), 40% of which was rated world-leading (4*). These outstanding results highlight the department’s standing as one of the top two in King's College London and as one of the top five in its field in the UK. The RAE 2008 results validate the College’s decision to develop Film Studies from scratch in the new millennium and acknowledge the distinguished work of its faculty.
