Modern Language Centre
The Modern Language Centre provides courses to University of London staff, students and alumni, and to the local professional and residential community, in the following languages:
Arabic, Bengali, Catalan, Dari, Farsi, French, German, Greek, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin, Panjabi, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Sanskrit, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish and Urdu.

The Centre offers a state-of-the-art Open Learning Centre for language self-study. Specialist tailor-made courses can be designed around the needs of an individual or a company. Some of our prestigious clients presently include the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the European Medicines Agency.
The Centre also offers a wide range of courses and self study materials for medics, lawyers and business professionals

The next wine tasting evening is on 18 November 2009. In this session we will sample a range of wines and deduce their origin.
The Centre's new Foundation Degree in Modern Foreign Languages with Public Service Interpreting is currently pending approval, but it is hoped applications can be taken from January 2010.
