The Centre draws on the research interests of many members of KCL from several academic departments, whose enthusiasm for inter-disciplinary projects has made possible several international conferences & workshops, including the very successful Domestic & International Aspects of the Greek Civil War, Personification in the Greek World and Images & Uses of Socrates, from Antiquity to the Twenty-first Century.
More recently, we held The Logos Conference: Controlling Language: The Greek experience (September 2004) and The Making of Modern Greece: Nationalism, Romanticism, and the Uses of the Past (1797-1896) (September 2006).
