RAE 2008

The 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) confirms King's position in the 'golden triangle' of the UK research intensive universities in London and Oxbridge. In Engineering over 80% of our research was judged to be of international quality, and nearly half as internationally leading or excellent, Importantly, unlike many UK institutions, we submitted for assessment all (100%) of our academic staff. As such, our RAE results are a true reflection of the internationally excellent research being performed in the Division of Engineering. The RAE panels also highlighted for praise our interdisciplinary research, international activity, infrastructure investment and links with industry. We are committed to providing an excellent academic environment for our students and staff and it is pleasing to note that the RAE has recognised some of our achievements.
