Chevening Gurukul Programme

Chevening Gurukul Programme

The Chevening Gurukul Leadership Programme is aimed at young high-flyers and mid-career professionals from India with demonstrable leadership potential. The Programme is the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office's flagship fellowship for India and has run close to 20 years. King's College London has hosted the Programme since September 2014.

The Gurukul Programme addresses the question of how to lead most effectively, by analysing changing ideas and practices of leadership and exploring the implications of globalisation for Indian leaders. The Programme encourages critical thinking and provides unique opportunities for scholars to test their own hypotheses with policy makers, practitioners, academics and opinions leaders.

Chevening Gurukul Fellows are offered an intensive, twelve-week residential programme at King's College London which familiarises India's future leaders with best practice case studies of leadership in diverse fields through a variety of standard and heterodox methods, which include seminars, workshops, role-playing scenarios and site visits.
