Freedom of Information requests
King’s College London routinely publishes information about the FOI requests that we have received and how we have responded to them in our disclosure log. Please visit the log to search or browse through past requests before submitting a new request. For a request to be considered valid under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, it must:
- be in writing;
- include a name and address for correspondence (email address is sufficient);
- detail the information requested.
The easiest way to make a request is to email info-compliance@kcl.ac.uk. However, you can also submit your request by post to the following address: Information ComplianceDepartment of Business AssuranceRoom 5.20James Clerk Maxwell Building57 Waterloo RoadLondon SE1 8WA The university must respond to requests within 20 working days by:
- confirming whether it holds the information, and
- either providing a copy or summary of the information, or informing the requester why the information has been withheld.
There is also some helpful guidance from the Information Commissioner's Office on how to make a request. For more information on withheld information, please visit our exemptions page.
