Worldwide Impact

Students Internationalisation is embedded into everything we do at King’s. For students that means an international curriculum with opportunities to study or gain work experience abroad, an international environment on campus and a School of Global Affairs bringing together the best teaching and latest insights into emerging economies. It also means producing internationally-renowned research by collaborating with our global partner universities and providing world-class healthcare around the world.

International Research and Activity

Faculty at King’s are involved in research projects that have a profound impact on the world. From Global Health to Arts and Humanities and from Law to Social Science and Public Policy, King's academics and students are working on fields of enormous breadth.

Student Mobility

Our Study Abroad Office manages placements for King’s students who want to spend time abroad as part of their degree and overseas students who want to come to King’s during their study. Each year more and more students are taking advantage of the opportunity to study abroad from a wide range of faculties.

Sudents from across the university also have an opportunity to spend time abroad for shorter periods, or to do field work as part of courses like Medicine and Geography.

International staff and students

Each year thousands of students from outside the UK choose to call King’s home. King’s currently hosts more than 9,300 international students from over 150 countries, making up over 35 per cent of the total student body.

Our staff community is rich and diverse, with almost 1,500 – just over 40 per cent – academic, research and professional services staff of international origin. This helps King’s promote a global outlook in teaching and research, including through international research collaborations.

International alumni

Our network of international alumni helps support King’s, our work and our students overseas. King’s has over 48,000 alumni in 174 countries, many of whom have gone on to be extremely successful and are inspiring our current students. Visit our International alumni pages to find out more.
